Fireworks . . .

The Mill Casino (North Bend, Oregon) on July 3rd for the pre-fourth fireworks show over the bay. We arrived about 2 hours early with the chairs, cooler & extra blankets to see if I could get some photos of the Fireworks. I ended up getting a little to close in front of the crowd and did not end up with much foreground like I originally intended for the photos but still had fun with them.

My camera settings and selected gear for this project;
Remote Control Shutter on Bulb mode (1st time EVER using these)
ISO 100 . . . Various Focal Length (18-55mm) . . . F/11 . . . Tripod w/Quick Release
Manual Focus . . . Funny thing - I used my lens hood to reduce any light from the street lights near me - Not sure if it helped but I don't think it ruined them . . .

Note for future Fireworks & Long Exposure photos . . . A wood boardwalk over the water and incoming tide covered with over a thousand people is not the key place to setup the tripod and camera . . . they tend to sway and vibrate causing blur at times . . .

Just made our move to Oregon and decided to check out the Bowling Alley in town. They had Glow in the Dark, Rock n' Roll Bowling Night and we had a Friggin' Blast . . .

Harley-Davidson of Vallejo - February 25, 2011

The city of Vallejo, California has had a Harley-Davidson Dealership present for over 100 years but now that time has come to an end. All that is left is the old empty Greyhound Bus Depot that it once occupied. Somewhat of a ghost town.
